Carfax is delighted to welcome Miss Julia Ford as our new Principal. Julia read Psychology, Philosophy, and Physiology (PPP) at the University of Oxford (Harris Manchester College). Julia has had extensive teaching experience: she has provided one-to-one tuition and educational consultancy in the private sector for many years, and has worked as an examiner for national examination boards. Julia is passionate about social enterprise and, prior to joining Carfax, launched a tuition agency, Tutorious, whose aim is to offer private tuition to those who need it, regardless of their ability to pay. She is also a qualified yoga instructor and is trained in Morrisby testing.
Talking about her experience at Carfax so far, Julia commented: “I am delighted to have joined Carfax College, which provides such a warm and supportive environment for pupils and staff alike. Since my appointment, I have had the opportunity to meet with most of the pupils and staff at Carfax and have been impressed with the caring and attentive approach of the staff and the energy and commitment of the pupils. It is abundantly clear to me how well-looked after the College’s pupils are and that their needs are made number one priority.”
