Carfax College is an independent boarding school located in the heart of Oxford, and offers courses ranging from one or more days of revision, in preparation for examinations, to full-time one or two-year residential programmes leading to GCSEs or A Levels, as well as Pre-U, IB, and admissions tests for British and American Universities, with a particular focus on preparation for entry to Oxford, Cambridge, and the Ivy League universities.
The college also provides pre-boarding courses for pupils seeking to enter British preparatory and senior schools. Courses are delivered one-to-one, or in small groups, depending on pupil preference.
Carfax College also offers short and long-term English Language courses, including group programmes for visiting pupils from overseas.
The college also provides a wide range of extracurricular activities, including rowing, polo, art, music, and drama. Those studying at the college can also join the Oxford Union, Oxford University's world-leading debating society. Visiting pupils on short-courses are taken on excursions to Blenheim Palace, Windsor Castle, the University of Cambridge, and the various sites of London (only one-hour from the college).
Boarding facilities are available for pupils from over-seas, and reduced fees are offered to day pupils based in Oxford.
Teaching staff are drawn from Oxford, Cambridge, and Britain's leading independent schools.
Surrounded by the colleges, libraries, and museums of the University of Oxford, close to London, and with an excellent team of teaching staff, Carfax College is ideally placed to ensure that every pupil fulfils their potential.
Carfax College’s fees vary whether pupils are undertaking group or individual tuition.
